The Administrative Division of the Parma Police Department is the secure record keeping branch of the department and is staffed by twelve full-time employees who are responsible for maintaining all reports, records and transactions generated by the public or its police officers. As a “public office” the records division has two basic duties under the public records laws: (1) to provide for the prompt inspection of public records, and (2) to provide copies of public records within a reasonable period of time, if requested.
Captain Kim Cornachio has twenty-five years experience in law enforcement. He is a Graduate of Miami University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology and is a 2004 Graduate of Northwestern University Center for Public Safety - School of Police Staff and Command. Capt Cornachio has extensive experience in the Uniform Patrol Division as a Platoon Commander and was assigned as the Administrative Commander in August 2006 after a two and a half year assignment as Lieutenant in the Detective Bureau. Assignments include overseeing the operations of the Records Division, Vehicle Maintenance Supervisor, Planning, Inspections of Department Functions and Personnel, Internal Investigations and developing Policies and Procedures.
