Jail Administrator: Lou Galizio

Mr. Galizio was appointed to the position of Administrator of the Parma Detention Center in June of 2004 by Mayor Dean DePiero. Mr. Galizio is a retired Corrections Sergeant from the Cuyahoga County Sheriff’s Department with 30 years of experience in the field. He considers his employees as his greatest asset. His objective is to improve upon the quality of services. Mr. Galizio is currently responsible for 4 full-time Corrections Supervisors, 15 full-time Corrections Officers, 7 part-time Corrections Officers and an Administrative Assistant. Since the Parma Detention Center opened its doors in the year 2000, it has achieved a 100% compliance rating every year for jail inspections conducted by the State of Ohio’s Bureau of Adult Detention, which is a reflection of the dedication and hard work by the staff.
